Location: Leicester with UK travel

The Royal Air Forces Association is the charity that supports the RAF family. From an injured airman fighting to get back on his feet, to a child missing a parent working away from home, to a WWII veteran in need of companionship, the Association is there.

The RAF Association are looking for an experienced Head of Housing and Care Services to be responsible for the effective management of all care and housing services at our Wings Break Hotels and sheltered accommodation facilities. Ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance, best practice, high levels of performance and outstanding customer care so that the Association is the market-leading provider of care and housing services to older people in the RAF family.

The Head of Housing and Care Services as part of the Executive Management Team will also explore opportunities for delivering new services and partnership arrangements, which further the aims and objectives of the Association and ensure efficient and effective service provision and the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level with a relevant degree, will have a Senior Level track record in older people’s housing and care, or a related regulated and highly customer focused sector/environment and experience of commissioning and/or contract management. In addition the successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial approach, with solid commercial awareness in the context of risk and sector constraints, experience of high level business and strategic planning, qualification in Care and Management and up to date knowledge of CQC/HCA inspections and regulations related to the sector.

The post is based at our new Head Office at Braunstone Frith. The post holder will be required to travel throughout the country on occasions and therefore a driving licence is essential.
