The Role
We’re looking for a technically strong CCAB qualified accountant who is passionate about the charity sector to help deliver a comprehensive financial accounting service in respect of the Legion’s 3,000 branches and counties.
You’ll be a strong and effective communicator with the ability to build relationships with, and influence, a variety of stakeholders. You will take direct responsibility for delivering an excellent level of customer service to the Legion’s branches and volunteer treasurers, and for planning and organising the work of the Branch Accounts Team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
The successful candidate will be a key member of the Financial Accounts team, working closely with the Head of Financial Accounts to ensure the production of accurate annual accounts in accordance with statutory and internal deadlines, and also the timely and accurate reporting of financial information to branches.
