The Role

The Royal British Legion provides support to the armed forces community and to raise funds sells a range of products within the poppy shop and source products for the public to have for a donation. It is important for us to ensure that these products are safe for the purchaser and meet legislative requirements.

We are looking for a QA Advisor for product safety to develop and implement the policies, procedures and processes for ensuring products that we sell are safe and meet legislative safety requirements.

The post holder will work with managers and staff at all levels to identify products, procurement routes, relevant processes and provide advice on product safety and to influence their understanding and assessment of, the significance of those risks and the actions in place, or required, to manage the safety of the product.  The QA Advisor reports into the Head of Health and Safety and Statutory Compliance, within the Legal Department.

You should have an appropriate qualification in product safety.  You will have demonstrable experience in product safety role, including developing documentation and investigating compliance with safety requirements.
