Royal Gardens Visit For 51 Veterans

Highgrove

This week the NFA ran its regular visit to the gardens at Highgrove, the private residence of TRH The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall. The group of 51 veterans, some of who had traveled considerable distances, were drawn from 10 different military groups, associations and charities ranging from the WRENS to Band of Brothers.

They met up beforehand for breakfast and to get to know each other at the Horse Guards pub in Brokenborough – which is owned by former guardsman Arthur Grun and his wife Janette – before enjoying an exclusive guided tour of the gardens followed by tea and cake back at the pub.
The Association is privileged to be given the opportunity by His Royal Highness to provide this very popular event which appeals to all age groups across the Armed Forces community.
