Royal Hospital Chelsea – Activity Centre Co-ordinator

***THIS JOB VACANCY HAS NOW CLOSED***

Due to the development of a new Activity Centre at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Activity Centre Co-ordinator. This is a new role, which presents a unique opportunity to positively contribute to the well-being of the Chelsea Pensioners. You will be part of a small but dedicated team led by the Activities & Volunteer Manager.

Day to day a large part of your time will be spent communicating with In-Pensioners, liaising with external contacts, booking activity spaces, creating risk assessments and other appropriate documentation, and working with colleagues to ensure the centre is always safe, clean and accessible. You will be responsible for ensuring that spaces in the activity centre are allocated fairly and democratically on an ongoing basis.

You will also assist the Activities & Volunteer Manager with certain administrative tasks as part of the wider Activities program across the Hospital. No two days are the same and the ability to be flexible and prioritize your own workload is key.

We are looking for an engaging individual with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, strong communication skills and a great ability to relate to others. You will possess excellent organisational skills and take pride in your work.

Experience:

The successful candidate will have experience working with Older Adults, good I.T. skills, and either a relevant qualification in Activity Provision or relevant experience working in a health or social care setting.

Experience managing or co-ordinating a similar building, or experience of project management, is not a requirement but is desirable.

Hours:

This is a full-time post (41 hours per week including paid lunch breaks) working Monday to Friday.

Closing date:

3 September.

How to apply:

Please can candidates be asked to send CVs to HumanResource@chelsea-pensioners.org.uk
