SEAP Advocacy

seAP – Chair of the Board of Trustees – Hastings

Would you like to lead a thriving organisation that strives to empower people at vulnerable points in their lives?

‘Professional but with a heart’ – seAp is a vibrant charity at the forefront of advocacy provision across the south of England whose Head Office is based in Hastings.   Advocacy is about extending and protecting people’s rights, empowering people to ‘have their say’ so that they can access the support they need.

Our vision is that anyone who needs an advocate, should get one.  We want to raise awareness of advocacy amongst decision makers and the public to make our vision a reality, promoting social justice and empowerment and working towards universal access to advocacy.

Following the stepping down of the current Chair, the Board is looking for someone who has a wealth  of experience, passion and commitment to lead the way in continuing to  fulfill its responsibilities and duties  to seAp.

No special qualifications needed, just confidence in leading a Board, a real interest in the work that we do, and a willingness to offer your views and experience to support this.  We ask that you attend 6 Board meetings a year and support other key operational events throughout the year where possible.

Please be aware that this role is subject to Enhanced DBS and Eligibility to Work checks and application is by CV only. To apply or to find out more about seAp and the work we do please go to
