SSAFA – Case Study, Research and Content Development Officer

37.5 per week (plus out of hours cover)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time Case Study, Research and Content Development Officer (12-month contract) to join the PR and Public Affairs Team at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, starting from July 2021.

SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, supports the person behind the uniform; any time they need us, in any way they need us, for as long as they need us. In 2019 SSAFA helped more than 85,000 people from the Forces family to get back on their feet; those currently serving, reserves, veterans and their families. Support is there for people at any stage in their military career; from the youngest recruit to the oldest veteran – no one’s service is ever forgotten. We give hope, help and personal support for as long as it takes to get that person’s life back to where they want it to be.

About the role

We are looking for a proactive self-starter to support and facilitate the development of exciting and innovative content, particularly Case Studies which will be seeded across PR and wider marketing / digital channels.

Supporting the Case Study, Research and Content Development Manager in coordinating the Research portfolio across the organisation and the military sector as a whole.

Central to the role is relationship management; the successful candidate will successfully build contacts throughout SSAFA, including our volunteer network, as well as other charitable organisations across a variety of sectors.

About you

To carry out this role successfully you will have:

  • Degree or equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong ability to build relationships and talk openly across the organisation including beneficiaries, volunteers and fundraisers.
