A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time Director of Client Services to manage and enhance the varied services delivered by the Client Services team at SSAFA, the UK’s oldest national tri-service military charity. This is a fixed term maternity cover for up to one year.

About the role

Client Services is the home to SSAFA’s welfare services that are delivered direct through specialist staff to SSAFA’s broad ranging clients from the military community: serving personnel, veterans and the families of both.

We are seeking a Director of Client Services to continue to provide strategic direction, leadership and management of SSAFA’s client-facing services. The services include Homes and Housing, Adoption, Additional Needs and Disabilities Advisory Service, Forcesline – SSAFA’s helpline, Support Groups for bereaved relatives and Glasgow’s Helping Heroes which provides support in partnership with Glasgow City Council to veterans.

This is a challenging, demanding and rewarding role which provides leadership and support to five direct reports and a total of 80 employees across the UK.
