SSAFA – Learning and Development Trainer (South or East of England)

Salary: Circa £30,000

Hours: 37.5 per week

Location: Home based

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time Learning and development trainer in the Learning and development team at SSAFA, the UK’s oldest national tri-service military charity.

 

About the role

We are looking for a passionate and multi skilled Learning and Development Trainer to work as part of our team delivering training to our employees and volunteer network. Your role will involve working with the rest of the training team to design, develop and deliver our complete range of courses that will inspire our employees and volunteers to want to learn. You will consult and collaborate with internal SMEs to understand our work, identify appropriate content, design training interventions, deliver courses across the South or East of England and evaluate the impact of the learning.

Requirements

To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of delivering standard training content for all our new caseworkers and provide regionalised bespoke content to support our volunteers. We are looking for an experienced trainer, ideally with a background working in the voluntary sector or similar, who is highly credible with lots of energy and enthusiasm to really bring our culture and values to life.

The role will also require identification of needs, design of suitable learning interventions and materials and where applicable, the analysis of information to make sound decisions regarding training outcomes through to the evaluation of training programmes.

You’ll need to be a committed team player with a highly collaborative style, and be able to demonstrate resilience and resourcefulness, along with being self-motivated and able to prioritise in a fast paced and changing organisation.
