37.5 hours per week

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced 3rd line systems engineer in the IT Department at SSAFA, the UK’s oldest national tri-service military charity.

About the role

We are seeking a highly organised individual to provide 3rd line technical support & maintenance to the IT systems at SSAFA. You will ensure effective and efficient performance of systems and networks, as well as assist with the design, development and support of the organisational policy.

Requirements

To carry out this role successfully you will have strong technical and interpersonal skills. You will be a team player who has a strong service attitude and manages conflicting deadlines well. Previous experience with providing 3rd line IT support to medium to large companies, along with relevant training, is essential.

You will have:

  • Proven experience configuring switches, firewalls and routers at multiple locations
  • Advanced Windows 2012/2016 MS server support to MCSE level
  • Strong IT support skills along with service desk and ITIL framework knowledge
  • Experience managing a large network infrastructure
  • In depth knowledge of administration and deployment of PC’s and laptops using WDS
