A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to work in our Volunteer Operations Department within SSAFA, the UK’s oldest national tri-service military charity.
About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Project Manager to join our committed Volunteer Operations Department. We provide support to our vast and diverse volunteer network in order for them to undertake invaluable welfare support to help those in need, suffering and distress across the UK and overseas.
This role will provide project management and support to the Volunteer Operations department and our volunteer network of 6000+ volunteers. The scope includes the introduction of new projects and managing current projects compiling and developing business processes and coordinating management information and outcomes work. This role is based in our Central Office but will be required to visit volunteer locations across the UK and overseas when required.
Requirements
To carry out this role successfully you should have:
- Knowledge of project management – generation and implementation across a broad network
- Experience of defining, formulating and communicating business processes, and how these processes are underpinned by IT systems, policies/guidance and training
- Knowledge of generating management information, trend analysis and outcomes.
- The ability to communicate with a wide range of people including public speaking to large and small groups
