Statement from Cobseo welcoming the formation of the Forces Employment Charity

Following the announcement to establish the Forces Employment Charity, Chair of Cobseo, Lieutenant General Sir Nicholas Pope KCB CBE, said:

“The announcement that The Officers’ Association (OA) and RFEA – The Forces Employment Charity (RFEA) are working together to establish the Forces Employment Charity is a positive step towards ensuring even better transition and employment support for all Veterans.

“Ensuring that all Veterans, regardless of the length of their service or rank, can access the very best support once they start their transition journey is essential to ensure the best possible outcomes. The news that the OA and RFEA have merged to ensure that they can work together to continue to provide this vital employment support is great news for the Armed Forces community.

“As the Confederation of Service Charities, Cobseo works hard to encourage collaboration and cooperation between all of its Members, and this rationalisation of services to ensure the best possible support to Veterans is an important demonstration of the work that can be done to enhance efficiency throughout the sector.”
