Tackling Loneliness deadline extended

The Tackling Loneliness programme provides funding for projects that support people within the Armed Forces community who can be harder to reach; helping them gain skills and confidence so they are less impacted by loneliness.

We can award a grant of £70,000 for a two-year period.

Responding to the need of applicants

The ongoing impact of the Covid pandemic has made it challenging for organisations to plan their activities in 2021 and 2022. We are responding to this by giving organisations more time to complete their applications for this programme.

The new application deadline is noon on 30 October 2020.

If you are thinking about your application, do remember that we will cover a fair amount of the costs to your organisation of delivering the project. These are sometimes called core costs.

Support during Covid

We also know restrictions that have been brought in to control the spread of Covid can mean that organisations need to change their plans.

We’ve worked with lots of our current grant holders to help them make changes to their grant so they can deliver their work in different ways. If you are awarded a grant and need to make changes as a result of Covid, then we will work with you on this.

The Tackling Loneliness programme

Your project should meet the needs of one or more of the groups in our programme guidance and should also fit with at least one of the main themes of this programme.

  • Building stronger social networks and friendships.
  • Improving access to local activities and provision.
  • Building emotional resilience to overcome the causes of loneliness.
  • Empowering Armed Forces communities to become more independent.

If you have already submitted an application ahead of the original deadline, but would like to make changes within the time available, please contact us at info@covenantfund.org.uk
