An opportunity has arisen for Grants and Governance Administrator to join the Trust.

The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust is a grant making charity, which supports the Armed Forces Covenant by funding projects which address specific priorities. To find out more about our work and the organisation, please visit our website www.covenantfund.org.uk/ 

Your focus will be assisting with the smooth running of the Trust’s operations by providing administrative support to the Grants and Executive teams.  We are looking for someone who is highly organised with excellent administrative skills, strong written and verbal communication, a keen eye for detail and a proactive attitude. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for queries to the Trust from grant applicants and many grant holders, and will support the Grants team to manage all the different grant programmes that the Trust runs.  They will also support the CEO and senior management with all arrangements for meetings of the Board of Trustees, including preparing and distributing papers and other governance/secretariat related tasks.

Whilst we will of course provide training on our in-house grant system, as a remote working organisation we need you to be confident with technology such as Teams, Zoom and Microsoft Outlook as we use a mix of these for all our internal and external communications.

You will need to be self-motivated and be able to use initiative when responding to the diverse range of queries we receive on a daily basis, as well as being able to manage a range of conflicting priorities.

Knowledge of, a background in, or family affiliation to, the UK Armed Forces is not essential but is preferred.

Salary: £25-£28,000 per annum dependent on experience.  This is a fixed term contract for 2 years

This is a remote/home working position. This post may require very occasional attendance at meetings or events in London or elsewhere.
