The Forces March 2023

The Veterans Charity is hosting The Forces March for the 11th year, this April.

Based on a legendary WW2 training march, the event follows a 135-mile route from Ilfracombe to Bulford over five consecutive days.

The event attracts serving military teams, Veterans, corporate teams and civilians who unite for an extraordinary challenge which takes in stunning scenery from start to finish.

Participants enjoy incredible support including on-site catering, a brew tent, escort and safety vehicles, professional medical support on route and site, a dedicated facilities team who set up and manage the camp locations, GPS tracking which is monitored throughout by a dedicated control team, stocked and manned checkpoints and a motorcycle marshall team.

Every participant receives a bespoke medal and trophies are awarded for a variety of categories including Most Outstanding Military Team, Most Outstanding Male and Female, Top Fundraising Team and Individual and The Lee Rigby Cup for Community Spirit.

Entries are open and the charity, which has seen a huge rise in demand for its rapid support, is hoping that many more teams and individuals will enter to help make it the biggest and best year yet.

The Veterans Charity is the immediate needs support charity for Veterans who find themselves battling hardship and in 2022 alone, delivered rapid support to more than 650 cases, providing essentials including food shopping, utilities support, clothing and smartphones/credit.

Those wishing to register for The Forces March should visit www.forcesmarch.org.uk where a detailed info pack can be downloaded. The Veterans Charity is providing a 50% entry discount for serving personnel and veterans.
