The Role

We’re making big changes. We are becoming more accessible, easier to reach and providing a more integrated service for the Service community and those that support us.  The focus for our Area teams will be on engaging with the community, reaching out to those we support through a wide range of Partnerships making sure we’re accessible to many more people.

As a Royal British Legion Advice and Information Officer you will be based in the Pop In, Liverpool and will spend your time providing advice and information about all aspects of the Legion’s work to visitors and via more remote outreach locations. You will also be expected to raise the profile of the Legion through presentations and attending networking events and manage and support a cohort of Information Volunteers.

Accustomed to providing advice and information support to customers you will have experience of building relationships with a range of different agencies. An excellent communicator with strong organisational and planning skills, you will also have good IT skills and be confident in supporting people.  A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle would be essential for this role.

It is essential that you have an empathy with the UK armed forces community and some knowledge and understanding of this area would also be an advantage.  This role is open to both employees and volunteers.
