The Role

Are you looking for an introduction to a career in events? We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Events Assistant to join an award-winning events team to deliver a summer event series for a well-known national charity brand.

The role will manage local marketing and engagement within the community for our Poppy Quest event series taking place in July 2020. You will be able to work independently with support and direction from the Mass Events team at head office, building strong relationships with event partners and supporters locally to maximise participant recruitment targets. You will also have strong communication experience, be capable of engaging with people at different levels and have an ambition to be involved in delivering a first class fundraising event for families.

We are involved in a number of cycling, running and walking events including series of marathons.

We also have our own bespoke events such as our fast growing Poppy Walks, Pedal to Paris cycle ride and Poppy Runs.

Enthusiasm is essential, along with a result focus approach and proactive attitude to work. Own transport is essential as the events take place in Portsmouth and Cardiff. Mileage will be paid/reimbursed.

Closing date for this role is: Sunday 9 February 2020
