Lloyd’s Patriotic Fund is looking for talented and committed individuals to join their board.
Passionate about making a difference to support the armed forces community or disaster risk reduction charities? Lloyd’s Patriotic Fund is looking for new trustees to share their passion and help set their strategic direction and future vision. As a UK registered charities, it forms part of Lloyd’s responsible business strategy to help create a braver world and help people and communities recover in times of need.
Lloyd’s Patriotic Fund has been bringing together the Lloyd’s insurance market for the last two hundred years to support veterans and their families today.
Founded in 1803, Lloyd’s Patriotic Fund is the oldest military charity of its kind. We are proud of our history and contributions to support the armed forces community, but we recognise that as a charity, we need to adapt to address the needs of veteran’s today. In an increasingly competitive landscape, Lloyd’s Patriotic Fund is committed to uniting support from the market to aid the successful transition to civilian life for veterans and their families.
As part of the trustee board, your job is to ensure the charity achieves its objectives. The board is jointly and separately responsible for: the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity; its financial health; the probity of its activities and developing the organisation’s aims, objectives and goals in accordance with the governing document, legal and regulatory guidelines.
You will work as part of a small team of trustees who meet three times per year. Between meetings, you will provide support and advice to the Responsible Business team at Lloyd’s who run the charities.
