Veterans Regroup in association with Smart Savings, CIC are delighted to announce we have received funding to deliver free, multi-activity watersport sessions (sailing, SUP, kayaking and sea swimming) for military veterans living in Cornwall, starting from April this year.
We are keen to offer holistic support to military veterans in Cornwall to support their physical and mental health, as well as offering money and debt advice.
We are working in partnership with Loe Beach Watersports Cornwall and Wild, Wonder and Wisdom to deliver this project. Please see below for further information about these organisations.
Advance booking for these sessions is essential because spaces are limited.
The sessions will be delivered on the following dates. Each session starts on a Sunday and then continues on a Friday morning 1000 – 1300.

We will reschedule a session if the weather conditions are severe. A light snack and drink will be available, but please feel free to bring your own.

Parking and parking prices: The car park at Loe Beach charges approximately £5 for three hours.
What to bring?
Wetsuit, dry towel and swimming goggles. We will supply all equipment, buoyance aids, tow floats and swim hats, but please feel free to bring along any from home.
Wild Wonder and Wisdom CIC are fully insured to deliver SUP, kayaking and ‘Introduction to Sea Swimming’ sessions amongst other things, and their staff hold all the necessary qualifications and certificates for what they offer, including Outdoor First Aid and a Level 3 RLSS National Water Safety Management Certificate. Feel free to ask us what these are. Risk assessments for all activities have been completed.
Loe Beach Watersports in Cornwall are fully insured to deliver lessons in sailing dinghies, kayaks, SUPs and powerboats, and are an accredited RYA training centre. Their staff hold
all the necessary qualifications and certificates for what they offer. A health and safety talk will be provided to all participants and activities will be in groups.
