Salary: £26,500.00 per annum

Defence Medical Welfare Service are looking for a Fundraising Officer to join our dynamic team to continue and grow our trusts and foundations portfolio as well as exploring corporate partnership and major donor opportunities. Our fundraising strategy has seen great recent growth and it is an exciting time to join and push further growth with a fantastic charity.

The successful applicant will be responsible for researching and submitting applications to increase income, exploring new opportunities and maintaining our electronic bid library.

You need to be an excellent communicator, ideally with experience in bid writing and/or funding applications. You need to be committed and take a pride in what you do with passion and drive. You will join a great team who will offer support and development. As a Fundraising Officer, you will actively:

Research and assess potential opportunities to obtain funding from grant-making trusts and foundations.
Contribute to the writing of consistently high-quality funding applications bid response and evaluation reports that are accurate, substantiated, and compelling.
Explore Corporate partnership and possible major donor opportunities
Contribute creative thinking, ideas and support to colleagues to help facilitate the promotion of a positive organisational environment.
Identify and build strong internal and external relationships.
In this position, you will be working from home with some travel required to attend periodic operational meetings at our Head Office in Andover, Hampshire.
