RBLI Chief Executive Lisa Farmer awarded OBE for Services to Armed Forces Community

Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI) is proud to announce that Chief Executive Lisa Farmer has been formally invested as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE), recognising her outstanding contribution to the Armed Forces community and people with disabilities.

Lisa received the honour in King Charles III’s New Year Honours List and was officially invested at a ceremony held on 22 July. The award celebrates her decade of leadership at RBLI, where she has spearheaded transformative projects including the £28 million Centenary Village and the expansion of RBLI’s national employment support services.

Under Lisa’s leadership, RBLI now supports over 10,000 beneficiaries annually, with 70% of its social enterprise workforce overcoming disabilities or health conditions. Her strategic vision has secured more than £34 million in funding, positioning RBLI as a national exemplar in inclusive employment and veteran welfare.

Reflecting on the honour, Lisa said:

“It’s an incredible privilege to receive this recognition from His Majesty. I share this award with every member of our RBLI team — together, we are building a future where every veteran and person with a disability has the opportunity to thrive.”

The honour also shines a spotlight on RBLI’s wider community, from its award-winning Lifeworks programme, which helps unemployed veterans into work, to its pioneering social enterprise Britain’s Bravest Manufacturing Company, where veterans produce signage for national infrastructure projects.

Lisa’s investiture marks a proud moment for RBLI and reinforces its mission to support those who have served and sacrificed.
