To mark 85 years since the Battle of Britain, the RAF Benevolent Fund will host its inaugural fundraising Gala at RAF Northolt on 1 October 2025, raising funds to support the RAF Family.
Held in the historic setting of the Churchill Hangar, overlooking the airfield at RAF Northolt, the Gala Dinner will include a poignant Sunset Ceremony to remember The Few and to recognise the commitment, bravery, and sacrifice of those who fought in such a pivotal moment of the Second World War. The Fund will also be joined HM King’s Colour Squadron as well as the North London Military Wives Choir and the Central Band of the Royal Air Force. The event will provide a unique opportunity to experience aviation history firsthand while supporting those who serve today, at a time when the RAF’s role is particularly significant.
For more than 105 years, the RAF Benevolent Fund has been supporting those who serve, those who have served, their families and the bereaved. From the first day in uniform, throughout service, the transition to civilian life, and into retirement, the Fund walks alongside the RAF Family every step of the way.
Ben Alonso, Director of Fundraising at the RAF Benevolent Fund, said:
“Eighty-five years on from the Battle of Britain, we will gather not only to remember the courage of The Few but to act for those who serve or have served in the RAF. The Gala Dinner will raise vital funds to support today’s RAF Family, ensuring we continue to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with them in their time of need. There is still time to secure a table and be part of an evening that makes a real difference, so book your spot today!”
The event is sponsored by i3 Secure, a leading cyber security and information assurance consultancy.
