An exciting opportunity to join the DMRC Benevolent Fund and help support the rehabilitation of injured serving personnel. We’re looking for a proactive Communications & Events Manager to lead our events, stakeholder engagement and volunteer activity.
Location: Predominantly DMRC Stanford Hall with travel to stakeholders as required.
Hours: 30 hours per week, flexible days depending on operational demands
Contract: Permanent with position review every 3 years.
Leave: 17 days per year plus usual bank holidays (England)
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver fundraising and promotional events
• Manage charity communications across social media, website and stakeholder networks
• Build strong relationships with beneficiaries, supporters and partners
• Oversee and support our volunteer team
• Work closely with the Ops Manager and Trustees to provide updates and insight
About You
• You’ll have a strong understanding of DMRC and Defence Rehabilitation (essential)
• Experienced in the charity sector and fundraising regulations
• Possess excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
• A confident event planner with strong organisational ability
• Experienced managing volunteers or staff
• Proficient with social media and Microsoft Office
