Walking With The Wounded Shortlisted for Northern Ireland Veterans’ Award, Charity of the Year

Walking With The Wounded (‘WWTW’), has been shortlisted for the Northern Ireland Veterans Award, Charity of the Year. The Northern Ireland Veterans Awards, now in its fifth year, recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements of veterans, reservists, organisations, businesses and community champions who continue to make a positive impact across Northern Ireland.

Founded in 2010, WWTW supports veterans and their families through its Employment, Care Coordination and Mental Health programmes, helping to people to thrive after their service in the Armed Forces.

Tony Hulton, WWTW CEO, said,

“It’s incredibly special that WWTW and our team have been recognised for the support we provide to those who served and their families. It highlights our impact on the veteran community and the hard work of our frontline team. Congratulations to the other shortlisted charities.”

Over the past 15 years, WWTW has supported more than 15,000 veterans and their families, often those who have fallen furthest in society after leaving the Armed Forces.

The charity works closely with partner organisations including the NHS to deliver its life-changing programmes across the UK and ensure that veterans and their families can access the support they need.

The finalist will be announced at the Northern Ireland Veterans’ Award evening on 22 October 2026 in Belfast.
