A Force for Business: service leavers and small business

A joint policy report between X-Forces Enterprise (XFE) and the Federation of Small Business (FSB) has been published. Highlights include insights into the ex-military in business and key recommendations to stimulate veteran entrepreneurship and encourage the employment of veterans in smaller firms.

XFE Founder and CEO Ren Kapur MBE said:

“As FSB Armed Forces Champion for Small Business I am delighted that XFE has been able to share our insight as the UK’s largest provider of support for the military in business, with this joint policy report and recommendations.

“Through supporting over 1400 service-leavers going into business and thousands more through training and mentorship, XFE knows only too well the valuable attributes that the military bring to the business world; be that their own business or working for someone else.

“This fascinating report sheds further light on the military in business and makes important recommendations for the Armed Forces Community, Government and business, as to what additional support could be provided to assist veterans transition so that their valuable skills are harnessed – for the benefit of society as a whole.”
