The Northern Ireland branch of SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity has been announced as the featured charity for the 2026 Belfast International Tattoo.
The partnership will see SSAFA Northern Ireland represented throughout the event, giving thousands of visitors the opportunity to learn more about the charity’s work supporting serving personnel, veterans and their families across Northern Ireland.
Returning to The O2 Arena, Belfast, on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 September, the Belfast International Tattoo has become one of Northern Ireland’s premier military and cultural events. Bringing together local and international performers, the spectacular showcases military bands, massed pipes and drums, precision drill teams and contemporary performances in a celebration of music, culture and pageantry.

For more than 140 years, SSAFA has been a trusted source of practical, financial and emotional support for serving personnel, veterans and their families in their time of need. Across Northern Ireland, its dedicated network of volunteers works within local communities to ensure members of the Armed Forces family can access the support they need, whenever they need it.
Visitors to the Tattoo will have the opportunity to meet SSAFA volunteers throughout the event, learn more about the charity’s work across Northern Ireland and discover how they can support its mission to ensure no member of the Armed Forces community faces life’s challenges alone.
