We are looking for somebody who will enjoys sub-aqua, mountain biking, hiking, whale watching, roller-hockey, cinema, wildlife photography, music club, 10 pin bowling, 4X4 Off-Roading, swimming, fishing, penguin watching, and a host of other activities, and all of it in an incredibly healthy ‘clean-air’ environment, in a location in which many people will never have the opportunity to visit.
When you are not making the most of the unique experiences that this location has to offer, we’d like you to carry out some Broadcast Technician tasks for us. In return we will pay you a competitive tax-free salary, and provide no-cost accommodation, food, medical, utilities and flights. The Broadcast Technician role will cover quite a wide range of equipment and services. We don’t expect anybody to be an expert in everything, but if you understand electricity, are good with IT, have an enquiring mind and the right attitude, we can teach you the rest, and you will leave the Falklands with hands on knowledge and experience of pretty much everything we do, including satellite comms, digital terrestrial TV, FM radio transmission, studio system and IT support, and general building and infrastructure support.
Once you have succeeded at this role, you’ll be able to pretty much tick all the boxes for any future Broadcast Technology roles as well as having some amazing memories and experiences from a year down under Falklands style.
