The Veterans Charity team recently organised a Big Veterans Breakast at Treliske Hospital in Truro, Cornwall.
Veterans from across the Duchy, from as far West as Penzance to Torpoint in the East joined The Veterans Charity team and members of the Trust who had also served in HM Armed Forces.
The breakfast saw representatives of other organisations attend to offer support to veterans who may need it or know someone who would.
Following the Breakfast the attendees went outside to support another initiative, the Ribbon of Poppies.
This project involves individuals, groups and organisations sowing wildflower seeds in planters or meadows! There is an option for everyone.
This years themes are to create living memorials to mark both VE and VJ Day.
The Hospital staff had prepared a flower bed shaped to read VE 80. Later in the year another seed bed will be created to read VJ 80.
Pledges to create a Ribbon of Poppies are free to all, as we feel the cost was paid by those who sadly never came home.
