We are currently seeking a Rehabilitation Officer for People with Vision Impairment to join our team in the South West on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Role
As a Rehabilitation Officer for People with Vision Impairment, you will develop and deliver a range of visual rehabilitation interventions to our members across the South West.
Delivering services in the community and at members’ homes, you will provide comprehensive, needs-led assessments. You will also devise and implement training interventions in orientation and mobility, independent living skills, low vision and communications.
You will establish and maintain contact with organisations and groups in local communities to help our members access a wide range of training, support and social networks.
Additionally, you will:
– Maintain comprehensive records
– Comply with safeguarding and risk management procedures
– Provide vision impairment awareness training for colleagues, volunteers and other organisations
– Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in the field of vision impairment
About You
To be considered as a Rehabilitation Officer for People with Vision Impairment, you will need:
– Experience working with people with a vision impairment, including undertaking ROVI assessments and training
– Experience developing and delivering services to vision impaired people
– Knowledge in the field of vision impairment
– A Diploma in Higher Education (DipHE) in Rehabilitation Studies (VI) or equivalent ROVI qualification
