Over the next few months AFF is concentrating on some of the hidden issues our Army families face.
As football World Cup fever builds we recognise not everyone is looking forward to it. Figures show domestic abuse reports increase during the tournament when England plays. We’ll be featuring sources of support for victims in the military community.
How do you build a new working life when you’ve upped sticks and moved to the UK to join your serving partner? We highlight resources for partners and spouses of non-UK personnel who face the challenge of picking up their careers or finding meaningful work.
Call for evidence
And we’re looking for help from you to build the evidence we use to help Service personnel and families on overseas postings. If you’ve gone on an assignment as a single serving parent, or if you’ve taken your grown up child aged 18-24 with you, we want to know about your experience.
The overseas housing pilot allows unmarried partners and eligible family to accompany personnel on overseas postings. But there is no guaranteed entitlement to accommodation on return to the UK. We’re asking those who have gone through this process to tell us about it.
We’re here to help
If you’re facing an issue in your Army life, AFF is here to support you. See the advice and posting pages on our website for contact details and information on a whole range of issues.
