Combat Stress

Coffee, Cake and Combat Stress

Want to learn more about how supporters fund our vital work to help support veterans?

Why not come to one of our upcoming events?  Over a cup of tea and a slice of cake you’ll have the chance to hear first-hand about our life-changing treatment and the support you can give.

At the first event in Portsmouth, Royal Navy veteran Dave will be sharing how life is different today after treatment and our occupational therapist Christie will on hand to talk about her work with veterans in the community.

The events are taking place at three different locations:

16 October:                 Royal Maritime Club, Portsmouth, PO1 3HS

15 November:             St Thomas’s Church, Salisbury, SP1 1BA

20 November:             Camberley (venue tbc)*

*Members based in Camberley that might have space or know of an appropriate site for our coffee and cake event, then please get in touch with Sarah – details are listed below.

Each event will take place between 11am to 2pm with a brief 10 minute talk about our work on the hour, every hour. There will also be a ‘Gifts in Wills’ fundraiser at each event so if you would like to know more about this thoughtful way of giving, please just ask.

So that we can plan, it will be great if you can let us know if you are planning to come along and if you are bringing a friend.

To let us know you’re planning to come along or if you have any questions, please call Sarah Seddon on 01372 587 144 or email sarah.seddon@combatstress.org.uk

Please note: this is a fundraising and awareness event.  If you are a veteran struggling with your mental health, please contact our free 24-hour Helpline by calling 0800 138 1619, texting 07537 404 719 or emailing helpline@combatstress.org.uk
