Salary: £23,500.00 pro rata

Benefits package: 30 days leave pro rata plus up to 6% matched pension contribution following successful completion of the six months’ probation period

Location: Herefordshire x 1 position

Contract: 1 Year Fixed Term

Ideally candidates will live within the County.

DMWS is an international charity that has been providing welfare support to the Armed Forces Community for 75 years. We are unique and remain the only military charity and civilian welfare organisation to deploy to areas of conflict to support the Armed Forces. We are now recruiting a Welfare Officer in the above location to support Veterans aged 65 years and over, their families and carers.

We are seeking confident self-starters who are compassionate and have good inter-personal skills and can demonstrate empathy for the Armed Forces Community.

Working as part of a team you will be supporting the Armed Forces Community when they are in hospital (inpatient and outpatient), or receiving treatment in community based health facilities.  The role includes, on a rota basis, an out of hours including weekends, telephone advice service.   All DMWS Welfare Officers are expected to be mobile and deployable.
