Defence Medical Welfare Service – Welfare Officer (South)

We have an exciting new opportunity to provide our welfare service to our Armed Forces Community in the South.

Salary: £23,500.00 per annum pro rata.  Benefits package: 30 days leave pro rata and up to 6% matched pension contribution after six months.

We are looking for one Welfare Officer in each of the following locations. Ideally the successful candidates will live within commutable distance of their main location.  However there may be some cross location requirement.  The role will involve travel and may involve stay away from home.

Locations:

  • Swindon/Oxford
  • Southampton/Portsmouth
  • East Kent
  • Basingstoke/Salisbury
  • Surrey (Frimley)
  • Devon (Exeter) and Plymouth

DMWS is an international charity that has been providing welfare support to the Armed Forces Community for over 70 years. We are also unique and remain the only military charity and civilian welfare organisation to have deployed to areas of conflict to support our Armed Forces.

If you are an enthusiastic, self confident self-starter, with empathy for the Armed Forces,  with great interpersonal skills, who would like to make a difference to our serving military, veterans, their families and carers, when they are in hospital (inpatient and outpatient), or receiving treatment in community based health facilities. Then we would like to hear from you.
