Salary:- £23,852 per annum plus £750 Allowance

FTC for up to 2 years

Would you like to be involved in helping registered charities and community interest groups help and support the mental health and wellbeing of ex-forces?  We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated, self-starter to help organisations apply for funding for activities under the Positive Pathways Programme, an exciting new project that is part of the Veteran’s Mental Health & Well-being fund. Your role is to help groups and charities to apply for grants of either £35k (1 year) or £70k (2 years) to fund activities that make a real difference to the mental health of veterans. You will help to crystallise thinking, consider all the necessary angles and complete their applications. You will need to encourage collaboration between organisations, build networks and develop online resources for applications, such as FAQs and promotional materials.

You will need to be a great ambassador for DMWS, presenting us as a positive forward thinking organisation using collaborative working and intelligent application of the fund.  You will also need to report to the funders on success rates/KPIs.

We are looking for someone with a sound understanding of the third sector in Scotland, with competency in Microsoft applications and excellent verbal and written communications skills.  Additionally, you should have an ability to initiate and manage influential external relationships, superior organisational skills, with able to work to deadlines and under pressure.

The successful candidate with also be flexible, willing to support the wider organisation and have a real passion for welfare services.

As this post includes extensive travel across Scotland and attend occasional meetings in London, you will need to drive and have access to a vehicle.
