Location: Belfast/Province wide
Contract: Permanent 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Circa £36,000.00 (Band 6 NHS equivalent)

Are you a passionate, dedicated RGN looking for your next role? Do you possess an unrestricted RGN registration with the NMC and have 2 years relevant experience? Can you show evidence of CPD and training, ideally including awareness of the care and treatment of traumatic injury, musculoskeletal disorders and or pain management? DMWS is looking for a Registered General Nurse to join our team within Northern Ireland.

We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills, who can work as part of a wider third sector veteran focused team. You will be compassionate and committed to supporting the veteran community in NI. Working as part of a team, you will be supporting veterans and their families including making an initial assessment, ongoing care planning and supported referral to other appropriate organisations.

You will interact with DMWS welfare officers and assess the holistic wellbeing of our service users. The service will be developed through face-to-face contact and remotely. You should be willing to work flexibly to meet job demands.

As a complex role, the candidate will be able to work collaboratively within the OHU facility whilst remaining a DMWS Health and Wellbeing Professional. You will be responsible for contributing to the mental health/psychological support strategy team, establishing rapport with everyone on the multi-disciplinary team and other third sector organisations.

The candidate will work collaboratively with all local stakeholders including:

  • DMWS RMN/CPN
  • National Health Service in NI
  • Occupational Health Services
  • Counsellors
  • Inspire
  • NIVSO
  • VWSNI
  • Other third sector services
