Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £23,500.00 per annum pro rata. Benefits package: 30 days leave pro rata and up to 6% matched pension contribution after six months.
Location: Various in the Greater Manchester Area. Ideally the successful candidates will live within commutable distance
6 month Fixed Term Contract, 35 hours per week
DMWS is an international charity that has been providing welfare support to the Armed Forces Community for over 70 years. We are also unique and remain the only military charity and civilian welfare organisation to have deployed to areas of conflict to support our Armed Forces.
If you are an enthusiastic, self confident self-starter, with empathy for the Armed Forces and with great interpersonal skills who would like to make a difference to our military veterans aged 65 years and over, their families and carers, then we would like to hear from you.
Come and join our team, supporting the military veteran’s community when they are in hospital (inpatient and outpatient), or receiving treatment in community based health facilities.
The role involves, on a rota basis, out of hours and weekend emergency cover. All DMWS Welfare Officers are expected to be mobile and deployable. You will be working within a friendly and supportive environment, making a real difference and receiving great benefits.
