Felix Festival: Music to your ears

The Felix Festival, a live music event that raises funds for Felix Fund – the bomb disposal charity is back by popular demand on Saturday 7 September at Brickledons Farm, Silchester near Reading with Live Bands Late Night DJ as well as onsite bar and catering.

Back for the third time the Festival 2019 is going to be bigger and better than ever. Melanie Moughton, Chief Executive of Felix Fund, said:

“Felix Festival is undoubtedly the biggest fundraising event in our calendar this year. Our public supporters keep our charity alive, and the great thing about Felix Festival is that it allows us to give something in return. For anyone who loves the small festival atmosphere, this is a must.”

Felix Festival 2019 will again bring together music lovers from around the country. Acts include:

6pm: Jonny Marvel’s Blues Groove Band
7.45pm: Prime Soul
9.30pm: The Chilli Fighters
11pm: DJ Nashville (known for his sets in Ibiza)

These are sure to keep the crowd moving until the early hours. There will also be hot-food catering (cash only) and a full bar open from 5pm-2:30am. The festival is for over 18s only. Free camping and parking are available. Tickets are £27.09 and can be bought at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/felix-festival-2019-tickets-52838239597?aff=ebdshpsearchautocomplete.

Felix Fund delivers welfare assistance and financial support to serving military, veterans and their dependants from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) & Search communities from across all three services as well as SO15 (Met Police Counter Terror Unit).

The charity’s welfare activities focus on mental health support. Having played a significant part in the care of over 100 EOD teams returning from the Afghanistan conflict, now the charity offers Dashboard Courses on mindfulness: building awareness of the warning signs linked to mental health problems and sharing coping techniques.

The charity’s financial support meets the needs of individuals and families at the most difficult times. Transportation to regular hospital appointments, adapted disability equipment and funeral costs have all been provided to help ease the pressures inherent in some of life’s most challenging and complex circumstances.

All money raised from this event will go towards helping this unique group of men and women who keep us all safe 24/7.
