Global Reunion Gala Dinner celebrates Royal Navy Artificer Community

RNRMC and Greenwich Hospital funding helps bring veterans together through Remembrance and Comradeship Grant

Former Royal Navy Artificers from across the world came together for a special reunion gala dinner, celebrating shared experiences, lifelong friendships and the enduring spirit of the Naval community.

The event held at the Royal Maritime Club in Portsmouth, welcomed attendees who travelled from across the UK and overseas – as far as Cananda and Austrailia, reflecting the strength and reach of the Artificer network and the lasting bonds formed during service. The evening provided an opportunity for veterans to reconnect, reminisce and celebrate their shared history.

The reunion was supported through Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity’s (RNRMC) Remembrance and Comradeship Grants programme, alongside funding from Greenwich Hospital. This support helped make the event possible, enabling attendees to come together and maintain vital social connections.

Events such as these play an important role in supporting the wellbeing of veterans, offering a sense of belonging and continuity beyond service. By fostering connection and comradeship, they help to reduce isolation and strengthen the wider Naval community.

This reunion gala dinner stands as a powerful reminder of the importance of maintaining connections within the Naval family, ensuring that the spirit of service, support and comradeship continues long after individuals leave the Armed Forces.
