Mission Motorsport – Spa Trek (Nurburgring to Spa Francorchamps – On foot through the Ardennes)

A team of Mission Motorsport staff and volunteers recently completed a motorsport related challenge of their own making, aptly called Spa Trek – a 3 day, 155km trek across former WWII battlefields, connecting two of the most iconic motor circuits in the world.

The walk started by going around the famous 26km Nurburgring Nordschleife race circuit and then setting off cross-country, through the German Eifel, crossing the border, via some overgrown WWII Siegfried Line anti-tank ‘dragons teeth’ defences, into the Belgium Ardennes and the heart of Battle of the Bulge country to the equally famous Spa Francorchamps Circuit, near Malmedy. The team raised nearly £4000 and plan to open the event up next year to more teams. Not for the faint hearted or soft of foot but a great way to spend three challenging days with friends.
