The Forces Employment Charity is launching a new employability workshop series as a Social Impact Partner of Invictus Games Birmingham 2027! Join us to help wounded, injured and sick members of the military community, medically discharged personnel and family members take their next career steps – informed, and with confidence.
Whether you are preparing for a civilian career, exploring a new direction after injury or illness, supporting a family member, or simply know someone who could benefit, this series of webinars followed by an in-person event is designed to open up opportunities and start important conversations.
Why this event matters
For many people, recovery is also a time of change. Careers, confidence, routines and ambitions can all look different after injury, illness or medical discharge. The right advice, encouragement and connections can make a real difference.
What the series offers
The series will run throughout November 2026 and combine practical online lunchtime webinars with a concluding in-person networking evening in London.
Each session has been shaped to help attendees understand their options, recognise their strengths, build confidence and connect with employers and organisations who are committed to supporting the Armed Forces community.
From workplace rights and adjustments to assistive technology, CV preparation, retraining, entrepreneurship, volunteering and peer support, the series offers practical guidance for wherever someone is on their journey.
Who should join?
The programme is open to members of the Armed Forces community who are:
- Wounded, injured or sick
- Medically discharged – or mid-process
- On a recovery journey, with accessibility requirements or living with a registered disability
- Family members supporting a wounded, injured or sick service person or veteran
- Family members living with a life-long condition
