Following the recent departure of Database & Finance Officer Kester Muller for pastures new and the retirement later this month of Head of Finance Pat Henderson, who have conscientiously served the charity for 2½ and 5 years respectively, The Not Forgotten Association is delighted to welcome three new members of staff.
Andy Gallie has already taken up the new role of Office Co-Ordinator. Hailing from Falmouth, Andy served in the Royal Navy from 1998 to 2011 spending 18 months on board HMS Endurance. Andy is a huge rugby fan and married his partner Victoria on New Year’s Eve.
Nick Jones-Evans joins as our new IT & Database Manager. Nick began his career as a youth project worker in Wales in 2010 before moving to London to work as a support worker in a homeless hostel. He has qualifications in IT and computer game development.
Later this month Al Balelo-Goncalves will take over as Head of Finance & Executive Officer. Al brings a wealth of financial and accounting experience gained in South Africa, the USA and the UK, particularly in the charity sector. Al was a co-founder of the South African AIDS Foundation and is an active charity volunteer.
Chief Executive Brigadier James Stopford commented: “2017 will be an exciting year for the Association and we are greatly looking forward to working with our partners to deliver a full programme of events and activities for our beneficiaries.”
