Salary circa £24,990 – based in Edinburgh
Poppyscotland provides life-changing support to our Armed Forces community. We reach out to those who have served, those still serving, and their families. At times of crisis and need we offer them vital practical advice, assistance and funding. The main funding for this support is achieved by the Scottish Poppy Appeal.
We are seeking to recruit a Scottish Poppy Appeal Organiser (East) whose primary responsibility will be to meet fundraising targets by coordinating and organising the Scottish Poppy Appeal within the East of Scotland. You will be responsible for motivating, managing and developing volunteers to ensure they implement appropriate procedures and processes to maximize the effectiveness of the Scottish Poppy Appeal.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate:
- Experience of the charity environment including fundraising methodologies and systems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing
- Experience of developing and sustaining relationships across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Experience of project management
- A co-operative, positive and flexible attitude with a willingness to take on responsibilities and use own initiative
- Experience of producing financial income and expenditure information
- Integrity and honesty
- Driving Licence
Although not essential the following would be beneficial:
- Experience of recruiting, motivating, and developing people
- Knowledge of the local business environment and knowledge of the military
