Recruit for Spouses – Playing Their Part in Planet-Changing Objectives

The independent social enterprise, Recruit for Spouses Limited (RFS), have today launched their Good Life Goals Manifesto. These are a set of actions that RFS and its employees have pledged to undertake in order to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development.

In 2012, the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development launched a process to develop a set of sustainable development goals (SDGs).  These goals address all three dimensions of sustainable development and the global challenges we face; the environment, economic and social.  There are 17 SDGs and they are all interlinked with each other, and as important as the next.

From the SDGs, the Good Life Goals were established. These are a set of personal actions that everyone (businesses and individuals) around the World can take to support the SDGs. They are relevant, achievable and aspirational.

As an independent social enterprise, RFS is committed to playing its part in the Good Life Goals thereby contributing towards the huge planet-changing objectives that sit at the heart of the SDG agenda.

Speaking of the launch, Founder and CEO Heledd Kendrick says

“RFS is a community focused business and that community extends further than the military spouses we support. By pledging to the Good Life Goals, we make assurances to our stakeholders that we have the best of intentions across everything we do. We are a small cog in a wheel that can make sweeping changes to the sustainability of the World we live in. Now, more than ever, we need to embrace these changes and I urge other businesses to follow suit.”

RFS’ Good Life Goals will reach across all aspects of their business. From their own internal code of conduct, to their marketing strategy, business partner relationships and continued tireless campaigning on behalf of the military spouse community. Of the 17 GLGs, RFS have adopted 5 that feature strongly in their future plans for development and growth as businesses and as individuals. These goals are laid out in our manifesto here.
