Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC) hosted its Scotland and North Recognition Evening on 27 May 2026 at Merchants House in Glasgow, bringing together more than 120 guests to celebrate the individuals, organisations, and community groups making an exceptional difference to the Naval community across Scotland and the North of England.
The event recognised the extraordinary efforts of fundraisers, volunteers, partners, and charity champions whose commitment and generosity help RNRMC continue delivering lifelong support to serving personnel, veterans, and their families.
Throughout the evening, guests were acknowledged for the vital role they play in strengthening the Royal Navy and Royal Marines community, from grassroots fundraising and volunteering to long-standing partnerships and advocacy. Their collective contribution enables RNRMC to provide practical, emotional, and financial support to those who serve, or have served, our country and their loved ones.
Speaking at the event, Gordon Michie, RNRMC Director North, said:
“Tonight is a powerful reminder of the strength, compassion, and commitment that exists across our Naval community in Scotland and across the North of England. Every person recognised this evening has played a vital role in supporting sailors, marines, veterans, and families when they need it most.
“Their dedication, generosity, and community spirit help ensure that no member of our Royal Navy and Royal Marines family faces life’s challenges alone. We are incredibly proud to celebrate their achievements and deeply grateful for the lasting impact they continue to make”.
The Scotland and North Recognition Evening forms part of RNRMC’s ongoing commitment to recognising and celebrating those whose dedication helps strengthen the wider Naval family. The event also provided an opportunity to further build connections between supporters, partners, and the communities they serve, reinforcing a shared commitment to ensuring that the Royal Navy and Royal Marines community remains supported for life.
