When someone in the RAF family needs help, the charity they turn to is the Royal Air Forces Association. We’re there whenever an injured airman is fighting to get back on their feet or the widow of a WWII veteran needs a shoulder to lean on. Whatever their need, they can rely on us every step of the way to give practical assistance, expert advice and emotional support.
We’re offering a rare opportunity for an ambitious fundraiser to really make their mark by establishing a new major gifts team. We can promise a compelling cause, valuable leads and the active support of the senior management team and trustees. In return, you’ll have a solid track record of success in corporate partnerships and major donor fundraising and you’ll have what it takes to manage a new Trusts Fundraising Officer too.
You’ll have personally secured significant donations from corporate partnerships and high net worth individuals and you’ll be able to demonstrate that you’ve run successful major giving programmes, including line management experience. You’ll have comprehensive knowledge of relevant risk assessment/mitigation, tax, legal and governance issues. You’ll share our determination to help RAF personnel and their families who have sacrificed so much in the service of their country – and you’ll be able to inspire this passion in others.
The post is based at our new Head Office at Leicester, but for the right candidate, we’d support a combination of office and home-working. You’ll be required to travel regularly throughout the UK and therefore a driving licence is essential.
