A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time Commercial Fundraising Officer to be an active and integral part of the fundraising department at SSAFA, the UK’s oldest national tri-service military charity.
About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven fundraiser who will work to develop and grow commercial fundraising opportunities at SSAFA. The person will liaise with people across the organisation as well as with existing external commercial accounts; maximising commercial income potential through these and through sales, as well as identifying new commercial activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to join this department at a time of rapid growth, to work in a varied and diverse role that will generate valuable income to support the work of SSAFA.
Requirements
To carry out this role successfully you will have ideally already worked within a fundraising, commercial or marketing and sales function and have a good understanding of the skills and challenges faced in such a role.
Other essential skills:
- Research skills with the ability to identify key trends and develop clear responses
- Evidence of creative thinking and excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a track record for collaborative working and building sustainable relationships at all levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Track record of managing budgets and allocating resources effectively and efficiently to deliver objectives
