SSAFA – Senior Social Work Practitioner (Brunei)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time Senior Social Work Practitioner in the Health & Social Care department at SSAFA, the UK’s oldest national tri-service military charity.

About the role

As part of the Personal Support and Social Work Service in Brunei, you will support the chain of command by delivering a statutory and non-statutory social work service, and providing a range of support services to the British and Gurkha military community in Brunei.

You will use your experience and interpersonal skills to work closely with Station Command, Health, Education and other agencies to provide a professional, confidential and comprehensive range of Social Work and Welfare support services.

Requirements

To carry out this role successfully you will have a Diploma in Social Work (or equivalent), and be registered with the HCPC or equivalent. You will also have demonstrable post-qualification experience of working within a statutory Adult and/or Children and Families setting and working knowledge of adoption, fostering and court related work. The ability to illustrate evidence of post qualification training/development is also essential, as well as good communication, organisational and IT skills.

You must be prepared to travel within your course of work. A full driving licence is essential.

All staff must be familiar with, and adhere to, SSAFA child protection procedures and guidelines, in conjunction with the Local Command Safeguarding Children’s Board (LSCB) policies and procedures.
