The Female Veterans Transformation Programme will come to an end in early September; the programme was established to create a toolkit for organisations to better understand and meet the needs of female veterans. This has now been achieved and all resources including the toolkit are available on the AFCFT website: https://covenantfund.org.uk/female-veterans-toolkit/.
We want everyone to have access to useful information and to continue to raise the profile of women who have served, therefore once the programme has finished, the WRAC Association will continue with this mission, supported by the Cobseo Female Veterans Cluster. You can find information about WRAC Association here: https://wraca.org.uk/
If you are a serving or former servicewoman, we strongly encourage you to join the WRAC Association – The Servicewomen’s Charity. Membership is free, and it doesn’t matter when you served or which cap badge you wear or wore. The WRAC Association welcomes members who are currently serving in the UK Armed Forces, as well as those who have previously served in the RN, WRNS, RAF or WRAF. We also encourage you to engage with the Female Veterans Alliance, which hosts a wide range of events throughout the year for women who have served and female service leavers. You can find out more at www.femaleveteransalliance.org and connect with them on Facebook and LinkedIn.
If you are a female veteran, service leaver or reservist working in healthcare, or studying for a healthcare profession, we also encourage you to engage with Sisters in Service. This network supports military women in healthcare and offers mentoring opportunities. Find out more at www.sistersinservice.org.uk, or connect with them on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X.
