Walking With The Wounded – Events Officer

Location: UK Nationwide; Homebased or hybrid of homeworking and office working maybe considered. Occasional travel to Norfolk or Manchester will be required. 

Salary: £18,000 – £22,000 dependant on experience

Hours: Full Time 37.5 (e.g. 9-5, half hour unpaid break)

Contract Type: Permanent

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Events Officer, ideally with 12mths+ experience supporting events that include challenge events, mass participation events, third-party events and other income-generating events. Walking With The Wounded has plethora of innovative and exciting events for you to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into. We are an ambitious charity with ambitious goals. This is a dynamic role that will include a wide-range of responsibilities. The Events Officer is responsible for leading on 3rd Party events at the Charity and in supporting the planning and delivery of a broad-spectrum of events within our portfolio. Our charity is an innovative one and so we also encourage new ideas and ways to generate income so we can deliver our services which we expect you to feed into.

With such an array of events, high attention to detail, the ability to multitask and exceptional organisation are all essential skills for this role. The Events Officer will report directly to the Events Manager for all day-to-day activities, and will be part of the Fundraising Team which led by the Director of Income. This role will also work closely alongside the Head of Marketing and our Comms team to support each stage of content, collateral and marketing planning; especially in the area of 3rd Party events.

Please note that whilst this role can be anywhere in the UK, there is expected travel to our regional offices, most specifically Norfolk and Manchester.
