Woking Mayor Celebrates 40 years of Royal Naval Association branch

The Mayor of Woking, Cllr Saj Hussain and Mayoress Mrs Faaira Sahi recently joined members of the Royal Naval Association’s Woking Branch to celebrate its 40th Anniversary.

The wonderful event was held at the Hare and Hounds Pub, West End, Woking and included the food being piped in by Rory Kitney from the locally-based Gordons School Pipe Band. The Branch Chairman Ernie White proposed a toast to King Charles III and a beautiful cake donated by the Woking Railway and Athletics Club was enjoyed by all.

Hon. Secretary Keith Tarling of the RNA’s Woking Branch said:

“Our branch goes from strength to strength and it is fantastic to celebrate this important milestone. We couldn’t do it without the support of the RNA members, Woking Railway and Athletics club and Woking Borough Council.”

The Royal Naval Association provided a bottle of Pussers Rum to help the Woking Branch mark the occasion.
